PTA Spring EVENT 2012  

COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

 

SPRING BENEFIT CO-CHAIRS NEEDED!  Are you good at delegating, coordinating and planning parties?!?!?! This job’s for you.  Keep the wheels greased and running.  We NEED YOU!

 

Children’s Artwork Committee: (committee of 10+ people, working with room parents) Are you a creative type?  Do you like hands on work on art projects?  Do you enjoy interacting with children?  If so, this committee needs you.  Primarily responsible for the development and co-creation of age-appropriate art projects for each classroom.  You will work in concert with teachers, students, and parent volunteers to complete each project.

 

Decorations Committee: (committee of 4 people) Can you work with a theme and visualize that theme coming to life the night of the event?  This committee is responsible for suggesting, obtaining and setting up decorations for the Benefit.    What’s your idea? 

 

**Raffle Committee: (committee of 5 people) A most important function which contributes greatly to the overall event results.  This committee is responsible from beginning to end for the development, distribution, receipt of incoming tickets and donations, as well as tracking the various classroom performances through a visual aid posted in the main building. 

 

**Reservations Committee: (committee of 1) Dinner for ???, Develop and distribute the event invitations.  Collect incoming responses and money, set the seating plan, give table assignments and hand out programs the night of the event.

 

**Advertising:  (a committee of 6 people) Primarily responsible for obtaining program ads from local advertisers, creating ads as needed and getting the word out through local media sources.

 

**Program & Design Committee: (a committee of 4 people) The CREATIVE GENIUS/GENIUSES behind the event logo and program design.  Responsible for the program book from start to finish. 

 

Teacher Time:  (committee of 2 people)  Rally the teachers to donate experiences with the staff for the kids!

 

Parent Time:  (committee of 4 people)  Organize and motivate the parents into teams to donate parent experiences like a Sushi Night, Martini Night, Guys Poker Night, Moms & Margartias, etc.

 

Night of Volunteer Coordination:  (a committee of 2 people).  Responsible for coordination of the volunteers the night of the benefit. 

 

School Communications:  (a committee of 2-3 people)  Responsible for creating and ensuring distribution of Spring Benefit fliers in the students folders, coordinating dates and responses.
